What this tool can and cannot claim
This product is an assisted automated scanner. It finds many issues that machines can find. It is not a complete WCAG 2.2 AA audit, not EN 301 549 certification, and not an EAA legal sign-off.
What we run
- axe-core rules tagged WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 Level A and AA (not best-practice-as-AA).
- Custom checks for structure, images, contrast, 320px reflow, forms, names, and a few dynamic-content heuristics.
- Axe “incomplete” items as needs review, not as passes.
What we cannot test automatically
- Real screen-reader, keyboard, and cognitive testing with people.
- Most of WCAG 2.2’s 56 Level A and AA success criteria (captions quality, meaningful sequence, language of parts, accessible authentication, and more).
- Client-rendered SPAs if content is not in the DOM at scan time.
- YouTube / Vimeo and other embedded players (captions must be checked by a human).
- Pages behind login, CAPTCHA, or bot protection.
How to read the score
The 0–100 figure is the share of applicable automated checks that passed on this run. Easy environment checks (for example “no meta refresh”) are excluded so they do not inflate the number. A high score does not mean the site conforms. A low score does not mean it fails every criterion.
European Accessibility Act
Since 28 June 2025 the EAA applies to listed consumer services in the EU (for example e-commerce), with a micro-enterprise exemption. It does not automatically apply to every website. EN 301 549 is the usual technical reference. This tool helps you find issues; it does not certify EAA compliance.
